[issue:488] newpx problem after Jan.2025 update
by Hironobu Yamashita 09 Feb '25

Hi Michael, After updating to newpx 2025-01-24, using newpxtext+newpxmath does not change the math font properly: e.g., %================================= \documentclass{article} \usepackage[T1]{fontenc} \usepackage[defaultsups]{newpxtext} \usepackage{newpxmath} \begin{document} ($\mathit{kana}$) \end{document} %================================= The contents of \mathit prints in CMR. The log says %================================= LaTeX Font Warning: Font shape `OT1/minzpltlf/m/n' undefined (Font) using `OT1/cmr/m/n' instead on input line 8. LaTeX Font Warning: Font shape `OT1/minzpltlf/m/it' undefined (Font) using `OT1/minzpltlf/m/n' instead on input line 8. %================================= Best, Hironobu
